The Philippines recorded today, (15 Jan; 2021) ,  another daily spike of COVID-19 cases. New cases are 2,048, recorded on Friday, as per the Department of Health. This is the second time during this year. The first spike was on Jan. 11, where the country recorded 2,052 new cases. Total covid-19 cases in the Philippines

With the new cases, the total cases became now 496,646. Among them 27,033 (5.4%) are active, most of them have mild symptoms, according to DOH. Some of them have no symptoms, about 1%. About 5% are critical and severe cases.

According to the number of new cases, Bulacan province has the highest number of new cases, followed by Davao City, Pangasinan, Manila City and Leyte.

Deaths toll

The death toll as per DOH, became 9,876, about 2% of the total number of cases, with 137 new deaths for today. 

Recovery Count

DOH reported that 459,737 cases were recovered, which is more than 92% of the COVID-19 total cases.
