Covid-19 cases pass 28000 in the Philippines

The Philippines on Friday 19 June , reported 661 new COVID-19 cases making tally past 28,000.

The Philippines Department of Health reported 460 more infections, with tests results released within three days, whereas test results of additional 201 cases were released after more than four days. The Philippines has reported 28,459 confirmed cases ,it reported that 14 more people died due to the disease.

In total, 1,130 people have lost their lives to COVID-19 so far in the Philippines, while 7,378 patients have recovered.

The Department of Health said Friday it has sent a team of epidemiologists to Cebu City to investigate the recent spike in the number of COVID-19 cases there.
