What is Anaemia?
If healthy red blood cells are few than normal , this is anemia. Few RBCs are not able to carry adequate oxygen to the body’s tissues and cells. Symptoms of Anaemia are different for different types. Feeling tired and weak, is the most common symptom. Many reasons can cause anemia. Each type of anemia, has its own cause , which can be a temporary or long-term. Symptoms can be mild to severe. Around 30% of the world’s population has a form of anemia, according to a 2015 article in The Lancet

Symptoms of Anaemia
Symptoms vary depending on the cause of anemia. There are some common symptoms, that include:
Fatigue, Weakness, Pale or yellow skin, Irregular heartbeats, Shortness of breath, Dizziness, Chest pain, Cold hands and feet , and recurrent headache.
What are the most common symptoms of Anaemia?
Persons with mild anemia may have no symptoms, others have mild or severe symptoms. The most common symptom for all types of Anaemia is fatigue. Other common symptoms in different types include:
– Aplastic anemia: fever, frequent infections, and skin rashes.
– Folic acid deficiency anemia: irritability, diarrhea, and a smooth tongue.
– Hemolytic anemia: jaundice, dark urine, fever, and abdominal pain.
– Sickle cell anemia: painful swelling in the feet and hands, fatigue and jaundice.
Causes and types of Anaemia
Each type of Anaemia has its causes. There different types of Anaemia , of which the following are the main ones:
1- Iron deficiency anemia
2- Aplastic anemia
3- Sickle cell anemia
4- Thalassemia
5- Vitamin deficiency anemia
What is The most common cause of anemia?
The most common cause is low levels of iron in the body. This type of anemia is called iron-deficiency anemia. iron is important for hemoglobin synthesis. Hemoglobin carries oxygen your body cells and carbon dioxide back to the lungs.
