We see the water rise, roll up our sleeves, and walk on. But that water is far from clean—mixed with sewage, waste, oil, and germs. Every step carries risk. A tiny cut, a scratch you barely notice, and harm can enter your body. I tremble thinking how easily sickness finds those who feel safe.
